stop/start

Yup, again. I am totally fucking disgusted by Chris Brown and the public’s willingness to welcome him back with open arms. Maybe he did make a terrible mistake. Maybe Rihanna has forgiven him—which is her right to do, certainly. However, his right to be an adored public figure should have been revoked for good as soon as he laid his hands on her. Period. Our actions should have consequences. And the fact that losing the goodwill of his public hasn’t been one of those consequences for his violent and unacceptable behavior is beyond disheartening to me. Also, can we please remember that he has shown NO ACTUAL REMORSE.

The only thing that gives me comfort is that I’m not the only person who is baffled by this.
